Description
Myrrh - Deep And Unapologetic
Myrrh is a scent people have strong opinions about. Some find it too intense, too earthy, too much. Others love it - that deep, woody, sweetish but almost bitter aroma that's so unmistakable. Myrrh doesn't care what you think; it is what it is. And what it is, is a scent that grounds like no other, that pulls you straight to your instincts, that removes all airiness.
This resin also comes from a Boswellia species, different from the one that produces olibanum. The tree grows in rugged, dry areas where little else can survive. The resin is collected and processed by Sagrada Madre into hand-rolled sticks. Natural charcoal and fruit biomass form the base, without artificial additives. The process respects both the tree and the ancient tradition of myrrh gathering.
In ancient times, myrrh was nearly as precious as gold. It was used for anointing, medicinal purposes, embalming the deceased. The scent was associated with wisdom, with releasing the old, with the deep mysteries of life and death. You still feel that heaviness when you burn myrrh - it's not a light, cheerful scent but something that pulls you to deeper layers.

What makes this incense special: The raw, deep power of myrrh resin. For moments of release, transformation, or when you need something heavier than light floral scents.
What Does It Smell Like?
✧ Intense Woodiness
Myrrh has a deep, woody base that's immediately present. It's warm and slightly sweet, robust and earthy. There's a slightly bitter undertone that makes the scent more complex. It reminds you of old forests, tree bark, earth after rain.
✧ Raw And Honest
Myrrh doesn't try to be pretty or pleasant. It is what it is - powerful, direct, unadorned. The scent lingers long and changes barely during burning - it's constant and reliable in its intensity.
How Do You Use This Incense?
Use myrrh when you need to release something that's hard to let go. When you're going through a transition that hurts. When you're grieving or processing. Or when you need a scent that both grounds and uplifts.
Light the stick and let the flame burn briefly. The smoke spreads with that unmistakable myrrh scent. Each stick burns for about 60 minutes, but indoors even 5 minutes can be enough - myrrh is powerful. Extinguish in shell sand when you're done. This incense fits rituals of release, moments when you want to go deep, anything that requires honesty and strength.
